VFW Posts are the heart of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Oregon. Each Post is a local, community‑based chapter formed by veterans who have served overseas. While Posts provide camaraderie and support for veterans, they also play a vital role in strengthening the communities they belong to. From youth programs and civic events to service projects and local partnerships, VFW Posts help connect veterans, families, and neighbors across Oregon.
Posts come into existence when a group of eligible veterans chooses to organize, elect officers, and establish a charter with the VFW. Once formed, each Post becomes a hub for service, leadership, and community engagement — reflecting the values of the veterans who built it.
